bamboe-indonesian-restaurant

quote Good food good price I stumbled across Bamboe on a Sunday and was very pleased that they have no weekend surcharge. Lucky for us, it wasn’t crowded and there was enough space. There were a wide variety of authentic dishes and the portions were good for the price. Moreover, the staff was super friendly to us. I will definitely recommend everyone to have a go here if you visit Camberwell, especially after your shopping at the Sunday market.

quote The food here is top-notch and shows up faster than you can say "I’m starving!" The portions are so generous, you’ll wonder if they’re secretly trying to fatten you up. The staff? Super friendly and polite—though they seem to have a phobia of refilling teapots. The tables are a bit on the cozy side, but thankfully, the diners were spaced out enough that no one was elbowing anyone for extra spring rolls. All in all, still a great night out!

cedar-cafe

quote The food is sensational. Had the mixed plate and couldn’t ask for more. Two smaller eaters could easily share it. The only reason I give four stars is because for non-smokers, you can only access toilets by going into the smoking area, and the glass sliding door separating the smoking g area from the restaurant is in dire need of repair and because it’s so hard to close, is normally left open meaning the restaurant is smoky too.

quote A friend recommended this place when a few of us were chatting about best char kuay teow in Melbourne. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has one of the best CKT in Melbourne! Everything is done at a moderate level - tasty but not salty, good kuay teow texture, “wok hay” not overly done, not oily nor dry, customised spiciness. It’s pretty perfect to me. Their “wat dan ho” (combination hor fun) is also very try good. Their hor fun (kuay teow) is pretty special. The KL hokkien noodle is not as good as the other two, it’s average. The staff are friendly and attentive. You have to get you own water and hot tea just like any other other cafe. We will definitely be back again to try the others as I heard their Har Mee is very good too.

quote Usually eat next door but glad we decided to try it out. Place looks empty, but good atmosphere. Feels very local and catered more for takeout. Owner is nice and approachable. Burgers are cooked really well, got to try the wings they're nice and cripsy before the favourings are added.
