Chinese takeaway inside South Lake’s shopping centre’s food hall. The area is a bit sad. Average pricing. Had a good selection of classic Chinese food. My sweet & sour fish was very generous in serving and well done. My husband’s special fried rice was tasteless. He needed to add soy sauce to it.

Chin’s Noodle House is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The service here is impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who make sure every detail is taken care of, from wine recommendations to ensuring each dish is served at the perfect temperature.
The food is truly exceptional. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The fried noodles were perfectly cooked, with a delightful balance of textures and flavors that made every bite satisfying. Their dim sum selection is also outstanding—each piece is freshly made and bursts with authentic, rich flavors that are simply a delight. The stir-fried beef was tender and seasoned to perfection, with a smoky undertone that enhances the natural flavor of the meat. Similarly, the stir-fried chicken was cooked just right, remaining juicy and flavorful with a hint of spice that added a nice kick.
One standout dish that I must mention is the grilled prawns. These were succulent, with a slightly charred exterior that gave way to sweet, tender meat inside. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented, and you could tell that great care and skill went into preparing each one.
To complement the excellent food, Chin’s Noodle House also offers a well-curated selection of wines that pair wonderfully with the meal. The wine we chose had a full-bodied flavor that elevated the dining experience even further.
Overall, Chin’s Noodle House is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality Chinese cuisine. We ordered a large variety from the menu, and every single dish was a hit. Highly recommend to food enthusiasts looking for a place that combines fantastic food with top-notch service.

The service was pleasant but honestly the food was below average. I had high expectations from reading all the 5 star google reviews but my husband and I were disappointed with our order. We had the honey chicken, black pepper beef and Singapore mai fun. The beef dish was gluggy and the honey chicken had lots of flour coating and the chicken was chewy and felt like it had been microwaved. The good thing about the food was they were not too oily and had very generous portions. That said, we didn’t feel like having second servings and will probably not order from here again.
