foo-hua

quote Food ok, average price for takeout, not the greatest manners but happens sometimes. Restaurant could do with a good clean, quite run down looking. Parking is easy, cooks food fast.

hugos-pizza

quote I had ham & pineapple on thin base, and the chicken pizza on normal base. The normal base was a little soggy. My preference only too much ham on the ham & pineapple- would of liked more pineapple and on the chicken -there was way too much green capsicum it was over taking the taste of the rest of ingredients. But the pizzas are nice. Plenty of ingredients and cheese. Not too greasy. I had delivery. Would I order again probably yes.

kim-hee

quote Have loved this restaurant for years. Often do online order to collect on way home from work. Always ask politely for chopped chilli and I receive. Tonight a request for an additional $3 when I arrived to pick up! If I had of known this would have gone to farmer jacks while waiting. Disappointed but young man delivered good service when advised of this. NOTE: Put it as an option so no disappointment when arriving!

shalimar-curries

quote Shalimar did the catering for my birthday function. They were easy to correspond with, made it easy to arrange pick up (they deliver too) and made useful suggestions relating to number of portions based on attendees. As for the food, they never disappoint - even the quality of food in bulk (I was catering for approximately 60 people) was sensational. Everybody commented on how wonderful the curries were. Meat dishes were lovely and tender with just the right amount of spice (you can choose , however how hot you want them) Dahl was super tasty and naans perfect. Literally every time I get a curry from Shalimar I say it’s the best in Perth and that view didn’t change with my bulk order.

asaka-sushi

quote Walked to this sushi shop and ordered Asaka Bento Lunch Special ($18.50). The combo includes teriyaki chicken, 2 pieces of fried chicken, 1 piece of fried fish and one fried prawn. Love the salad with mayonnaise dressing and the crunchy yellow pickles. Worth the money. Delicious food with affordable price! Will come back again.

quote I haven't been here for a while so I decided to pop in for lunch with a work colleague since we were in the area. I noticed quite a few things have changed since the last time I was here for a meal, maybe 6 - 8 months ago. I guess costs have gone up and they've had to cut back wherever they can. They no longer have the Maggi chilli sauce bottles on the tables. If you want it, you'll need to get it from the counter. They claim to have new items added to the menu eg Sarawak Laksa, although I could've sworn it was already on the menu. I'll need to visit again to try their version of Sarawak Laksa. Pictures look legit and pretty tempting, so I guess I'll have try it soon. We ordered a Singapore Fried Mee hoon, Nasi Lemak with chicken curry and a serve of fried wontons. All washed down with a couple of Cokes. I added extra noodles and a fried egg on top of my fried mee hoon. Fried egg was $4 and so was the extra meehoon. A bit steep but I figured I'd give it a go. Wait time for food to come out was around 10 - 15 minutes, which I suppose is pretty good considering all tables were full in the shop i.e. very busy. Singapore Fried Mee Hoon portions seem to have gotten significantly smaller. I thought at first I had received the regular portion instead of the extra noodles. However, the server confirmed that what I received was with extra noodles. The fried egg was done nicely. Crispy chewy white and the egg yolk was just runny enough. Flavourwise, there was a bit of wok hei to the noodles, but it wasn't spectacular. Had to put lots of the Maggi Chilli Sauce to give it that flavour boost. The photo I took of the fried meehoon was after I put the sauce on. Feedback from my colleague about his Nasi Lemak was that it was OK although the sambal seemed to be a bit bland and portion sizes seem to have been reduced also. The fried wontons were just as good as I remembered them to be so that's a plus.
